Stainless Steel Tubular Products
In stainless steel tubular, Atlas imports, processes and distributes a range of stainless steel tube, pipe and fittings through the Atlas Specialty Metals business. Atlas also manufactures a range of stainless steel tube products from the mill located in New Zealand. This product is sold to the Atlas business and other distributors. Atlas sources stainless steel tubular products locally and overseas. All of these products are manufactured in standard round, square and rectangular sections. They are transported directly to Atlas' distribution centres, where they can be polished or cut before being on sold to the customer.
Stainless steel tube and fittings are used for structural applications such as street and domestic furniture, as well as food preparation equipment. The specifications for structural applications differ from food preparation equipment, which require a higher hygiene quality of stainless steel preparation in the manufacturing process.
Stainless steel pipe and fittings are used primarily in the petrochemical, minerals processing and oil and gas industries for the distribution of liquids and gases.
