Stainless Steel Sections

Atlas imports, processes and distributes a range of stainless steel bar and wire products through the Atlas Specialty Metals business. Product produced in coil form is classified as wire and product produced in length is classified as bar.
Atlas undertakes primary processing at its specialty steels bar and wire facility in Melbourne, and secondary processing at its various distribution centres.
A large percentage of round bar is machine into component parts for industries such as marine, automotive household appliance and general industrial applications. The remainder of the round bar and most of the flat and shaped sections are used for structural and industrial applications. Wire is used to manufacture products such as screws, nails, springs and wire mesh.
