Quenched & Tempered Steel Plate
Atlas processes and distributes a range of quenched and tempered steel plate products through the Bisalloy Steels business. Bisalloy is the only processor of quenched and tempered steel plate in Australia and New Zealand.The majority of the feed is sourced locally. At Bisalloy the plate undergoes primary process which involves quenching and tempering and is then despatched to other distributors where it may undergo secondary processing such as plate profiling, prior to delivery to the customer.
The steel plate processed by Bisalloy is known as Bisplate. Bisplate is produced in a range of grades, including high strength structural and wear resistant steel plate as well as high hardness amour plate. High hardness armour plate is suitable for use in both military and civil applications. High strength structural and wear resistant plate is primarily used in the mining and transportation industries.
